In the spring of 2025, the Maison des Arts de Conches-en-Ouche hosts its 71st biennial fine arts event. This fine event, which launched Conches’ reputation as an art town back in 1954, will bring together 25 painters and 12 sculptors. Invited by curators Gérard Allano and Yvon Neuville, these established artists from a wide range of contemporary currents will offer the public a veritable artistic voyage.

Ince its creation in 1954, the Conches-en-Ouche Biennial Painting and Sculpture Exhibition has invited national and international artists.

We’re delighted to welcome ceramic sculptor Florence Lemiegre. She has chosen to present three sculptures from her collection “Les Culbutos Serendipity”, which continue her artistic exploration of the question of balance and imbalance.

A little history:

An art lover, the then mayor Paul Guilbaud instituted this exhibition, which was sponsored until 1961 by Marcel Duchamp’s discreet brother, Jacques Villon. This great painter, modest but very talented, always insisted on the quality of the works on display. And he still does. The result is an event that is firmly rooted in the region and beyond.

Once again this year, the town of Conches-en-Ouche hosts its 71st Biennial of Visual Arts. Each artist will present three works in the five exhibition rooms of the Maison des Arts.

Curators: Yvon Neuville and Gérard Allano, painters
