For the very first time, Florence Lemiegre will be showing her creations at the Salon d’Automne of Paris. The jury members have selected her work the “Culbutos“.
For its 113th edition, it is again 1000 artists representing every arts that will be hosted at the famous avenue of the Champs-Élysées, with the presence of guest artists – famous sculptor and academician Ousmane Sow and its delegation. The eminent novelist award Goncourt (2008), filmmaker recognized by the critics and talented calligrapher franco-afghan, in exile in France, Atiq Rahimi will be the sponsor of this 2016 edition.
This year, Jason Seiler, American star of caricature, is also an invited artist of the exhibition.
Some History:
Created in 1903 -notably- by famous Jourdain, the Salon d’Automne of Paris would not have been missed by any Parisians and has welcomed the most famous contemporary artists of the 20th and 21st Century and from every arts. Ballets of Diaghilev as well as gastronomy, from Matisse, Picasso, Cézanne, Braque à Cartier-Bresson, Irvin Penn, Jeanloup Sieff or Mann Ray, de Debussy to Oxmo Puccino, Dior, Vuitton for Haute Couture as well as artists such as Rodin, Renoir or today Sylvie Koechlin, and finally famous guest artists like Cabu, Wolinsky, Mœbus these past few years… The list is too long to mention all of them.
